Strides Toronto: Organization Naming, Branding & Website
Strides Toronto is a non-profit organization providing mental health, wellness and autism supports and services from prenatal through to adulthood to help individuals reach their full potential.
Co-Effect was responsible for the naming and branding of Strides Toronto, the amalgamation of two existing non profits (Aisling Discoveries Child and Family Centre and East Metro Youth Services). We engaged hundreds of stakeholder including staff, partners, clients (youth and families), a branding committee and a joint board of directors in various initial consultation, brainstorming activities, digital surveys and in the evaluation of the proposed names and visual identities.
The new name is flexible to organizational growth, inclusive of the many stakeholders served by the organization. It is hopeful and active in tone and reflects the mission of the organization in helping its clients make individualized progress in their lives. The abbreviated version, Strides TO, also works well as a social media tag and handle and for key messaging (ex. Strides to wellness... ). Following the selection of the name, we also created a full visual identity, key messaging and branded materials. We continue to assist the organization with reports, outreach materials and other creative communication needs.
